Do głównych zadań na stanowisku należą:

  • Wspierania biznesu w wykonywaniu obowiązków z obszaru AML, FATCA oraz CRS (udzielanie wyjaśnień co do stosowania przepisów, KYC, typowanie transakcji podejrzanych, raportowanie/zawiadamianie GIIF)
  • Prowadzenie bieżących kontroli z obszaru AML oraz ewentualny aktywny udział we wdrażaniu działań ograniczających zidentyfikowane ryzyka 
  • Odpowiedzialność za aktualność regulacji wewnętrzny z obszaru AML, FATCA oraz CRS
  • Dokonywanie okresowych ocen zgodności z wymogami przepisów prawa
  • Raportowanie wewnętrzne (m.in. Zarządu) i zewnętrzne (w tym do regulatorów)
  • Podnoszenie świadomości pracowników oraz dystrybutorów poprzez działalność szkoleniową oraz akcje informacyjne
  • Czuwanie na prawidłowym przebiegiem procesu skanowana klientów
  • Dbanie w imieniu Spółki o efektywność rozwiązań prawnych z obszaru AML, FATCA oraz CRS poprzez reprezentowanie jej w pracach PIU

If you have…

  • Approximately 5+ PQE preferably in a shared service environment
  • Hands-on experience in managing and leading finance teams
  • Hands-on experience in managing intercompany allocations and billing in multinational organizations
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proven experience of implementing and overseeing finance controls
  • Proven experience of process improvement design and implementation
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to look at the big picture
  • Ability to meet tight and regular deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of general ledger system (Peoplesoft would be an advantage)
  • Advanced excel knowledge
  • Understanding of data management and surrounding controls

This role manages the team responsible for accounting, allocations intercompany billing of centralized Service entity for the EMEA region and reports to the AVP, Head of Internal Reporting. You will also work closely with the EMEA Controller teams located in other countries as well as regional & other Center of Excellence (COE) staff. You will be responsible for maintaining the internal controls environment and ensuring accurate data is submitted for EMEA in line with applicable accounting policies. You will be expected to proactively drive completion of deliverables and deal with a wide variety of tasks. You will gain a great understanding of MetLife’s business as you will liaise with many different teams and departments within the company.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Managing the team to ensure accurate completion of accounting, allocations and intercompany billing from a centralized service entity towards a number of countries across EMEA
  • Ensuring accurate processing and reporting of expense and other financial data within the strict deadlines to ensure completion of all US GAAP monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting to MetLife Home Office
  • Assuming ownership of transfer pricing & allocation process, managing changes in corporate model leading to increased transparency and efficiency, initiating and managing the implementation of process improvements
  • Adhering to MetLife Accounting and Operational policies including Balance Sheet and P+L controls
  • Ensuring a strong control framework and culture is in place including complete and detailed documentation
  • Summarizing results and items affecting the EMEA region in a clear and efficient format
  • Ensuring consistent application of US GAAP accounting policies and accounting principles
  • Identify and implement improvements and efficiencies in the reporting process
  • Conduct other ad hoc requirements and projects, as they arise

If you…

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Math, Physics or similar
  • At least 5-years’ experience in the actuarial field, preferably in actuarial reporting
  • Actuarial qualifications or in the process of acquiring a license
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and VBA and preferred experience in Prophet, R, SQL and data visualization tools
  • Ability to deep dive into the calculation to validate conclusions included in reports
  • Ability to take ownership of a piece of work and work it to resolution with minimal guidance
  • Familiarity with insurance and actuarial concepts including Solvency II regulations
  • Professional behavior with high level of integrity
  • Excellent cooperation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in oral and written English

What will you be responsible for?

  • Support the Head of Actuarial Function in the timely and accurate delivery of Solvency II reporting for two MetLife Europe legal entities
  • Support the Head of Actuarial Function in understanding and communicating Solvency II results to MetLife senior management.
  • Participate in the process of analyzing, proposing and documenting best estimate demographic, economic and expense assumptions
  • Coordinate or provide responses to the audit or regulatory queries and implement recommendations regarding Solvency II valuation
  • Participate in analysis of the ORSA results
  • Coordinate multiple initiatives across actuarial analysis teams dispersed geographically
  • Propose and implement improvements to the reporting process
  • Assist in building and handing over process changes throughout the wider actuarial team
  • Assist with the documentation of processes
  • Support ad hoc requests from stakeholders
  • Provide training where necessary to other actuarial team members and promote exchange of knowledge across the team

What will you be responsible for?

General Accounting

Accounting of non-policy related transactions (fixed assets, intercompany, expenses, equity). It relates to the MetLife Group as a whole versus a specific group under the larger entity.

Technical Accounting

Accounting and controlling services for insurance operations including posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, reporting, data and result analysis and supporting various internal stakeholders.

Accounts Payable

Processing invoices, vendor maintenance, handling employee expenses and supporting simplification of end-to-end AP processes.

Solvency II Reporting

Preparing public and regulatory reporting on the financial condition of the insurance companies in MetLife Group – all in accordance with the EU Solvency II legislation.

US GAAP Reporting

Taking care of the overall US GAAP financial reporting processes for 26 countries, including SEC (Securities & Exchange Commission) Reporting & IAIS (International Association of Insurance Supervisors) Reporting.

Actuary

Delivering various actuarial tasks that may include experience studies, valuation, and projections on a different basis (EV, Solvency II, US GAAP) for MetLife operations on a broad range of product types and projects across the EMEA region.
